NTFP-EP Philippines, with support from SIANI and NTFP-EP Asia, released two youth-led short films on wild foods in the Sierra Madre.
NTFP-EP Philippines, with support from the Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative (SIANI) and NTFP-EP Asia, has released two youth-led short films documenting Indigenous knowledge on wild foods in the Sierra Madre.
1) Cultivating Indigenous Knowledge: Sustaining Wild Foods in the Sierra Madre (Kaingin ng Kaalaman: Pagpapanatili ng Pagkaing Ilang sa Sierra Madre)
A portrait of Dumagat-Remontado communities safeguarding roots, leaves, fruits, mushrooms, and the stories and practices that keep these foods, forests, and lifeways alive. Watch below.
2) Gift of the Forest: The Tulaog Festival (Handog ng Gubat: Pista ng Tulaog)
A glimpse of the annual Tulaog celebration, honoring a sacred cave, ancestral memory, and the wild foods and traditional crops that nourish culture and identity. Watch below.
